Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Renata, I’m Brazilian, from Rio de Janeiro. I have been living in France for 6 years.
I have a degree in visual communication and styling. I started working in fashion in Brazil. I first worked for a lingerie brand, and then I came to FRNCH.

What is your role at FRNCH?

I am a stylist, head designer. I create the FRNCH collections, I invent and design them, in collaboration with the artistic director, Daryl.

How long have you been working at FRNCH?

3 years

FRNCH in three words for you, what is it?

Feminine, casual and happy.

How would you describe your style?

I am a butterfly.
I like a little bit of everything, so I don’t have a 100% defined style. I’m a pro-comfort, so I’m ready for anything!

What is the piece that best represents you?

Jeans with a colorful jacket. I love the different jackets, they are for me good pieces that change an outfit by bringing a touch of color.

What is your first fashion memory?

It was when my mother and grandmother made me clothes as a child.

Why work in fashion?

My mother is a stylist, she switched to fashion when I was 7 years old. I really lived her conversion because I followed her everywhere and I was immersed in her world. She gave me this taste for fashion and this desire to create clothes. I then started to create clothes for my friends.

The best advice we could give you?

Don’t take life too seriously. Let’s have fun!

The thing you can’t do without on a daily basis?

Moving/walking. It allows me to take time to reflect and meditate.

Do you have any passion(s)?

Music, sports, and being in contact with nature in general. My pleasure : walking along the seine river.

Your favorite place ?

At the seaside. I feel good there and it allows me to recharge my batteries.

All Ken Follett’s books.

I am the general manager. Alongside my teams, I manage the various departments and assist them in the management of different projects.

My father has always told me to look beyond the present moment and to have a big heart.

A colorful sweater, because there is nothing easier to wear in winter (or even in spring and fall when the days are still cold)

The 3 trends of the fall to adopt

Fall is here, the days are shorter and the cold weather has set in. But let’s forget the summer blues for a moment with the best looks to adopt this season. Your wardrobe will thank us!

GIVE IN TO COCOONING

The key word? To be comfortable. Faced with the not always cheerful news, we fight back with comforting materials and pleasant cuts where we put our well-being first. Everything is allowed, just follow your desires: long sleeves and wide legs, sportswear or chic, ultra-soft touch or second skin effect, there is no fashion faux-pas.
We also add the colors in his dressing room by daring a monochrome look. You have then an elegant look without ever doing too much. To a velvet sweaterpants a bit retro, we associate a delicately worked sweater with a charming bare back. To our trusty ribbed knit pants, a fluffy knit with a sunny gradient to say goodbye to the winter grayness.

DARE TO LAYER

To protect yourself from the cold without compromising your style, opt for the layering trend. We play on lengths and volumes, associating high collars, knits with a nice neckline, open shirts and XXL coats

We especially forget those looks, where when we were younger we accumulated several layers to end up gathering a Michelin man (we promise you, it’s possible). Mix sleeveless jacket and long dress, basic model and statement piece, mix materials, from velvet to leather, from cotton to cashmere.
Oversize lovers will love it, and good news, it is undoubtedly a key trend for this winter.

TAKE A JACKET

Often all it takes is a small but ultimate twist to sign an ultra sharp look, and the blazer is one of those timeless pieces that easily dress up any outfit. This season, we wear the blazer declined in a pretty faux leather in bright camel. You can easily accompany it with your favorite sweater, a more basic t-shirt as well as a pretty shirt or a little dress. And to follow the trend of this fall, we play on the mixture of materials. We associate it with a small ultra-soft knit made in Italy and with high-waisted cotton pants in a pronounced purple.
Our tips? We always make sure to adapt our cut, short or long, fitted or oversized, to our morphology in order to emphasize our silhouette.
