Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Alice. I was doing communication initially then I reoriented myself in international business, because I needed this opening to the world. After my master’s degree in the UK, I was hired by FRNCH.

What is your role at FRNCH?

I work in the sales department. Our role is to ensure that the brand develops its points of sale in France and in Europe.

How long have you been working at FRNCH?

I’ve been here since the creation of FRNCH, 7 years ago!

FRNCH in three words for you, what is it?

Feminine, printed and cheerful

How would you describe your style?

My style is pretty simple and casual. I like to have basics in my wardrobe that I mix with prints. But at the end of the day, there’s nothing better than a good white T-shirt over jeans.

What is the piece that best represents you?

A jumpsuit. The one that can be worn both during the day and in the evening.

The thing you can’t do without on a daily basis?

My phone. My screen time would scare you. And of course, my dog Sirius.

Do you have any passion(s)?

I love to follow sports. I love tennis and Formula 1.

Your favorite book or podcast?

I listen to the EX podcast a lot these days. The stories are very inspiring.
But my favorite thing is the news podcasts.

Your favorite show?

THE OFFICE. I’ve never laughed so much in front of a show!

Your favorite city?

Japanese cities are my favorite, mainly Kyoto.

THE SUMMER FRNCH SUITCASE

Mix & Match: Never cast a clout till May is out

Are you tired of following trends, of not being able to wear your favorite pieces at the same time and of worrying every morning because you think this shirt doesn’t go with these pants?

No more injunctions on the outfits, bye bye the too sober looks, no more the unique pattern. Today we tell you all about the Mix & Match, or the art of matching different colors and patterns together.

But be careful, Mix & match doesn’t mean looking like Harlequin and dressing up. Yes, yes, we can already hear you say: “I will finally be able to wear my green pants with my pink jacket and my purple tee-shirt”.
While this outfit is very tempting and seems to meet the definition of mix & match, it may turn our heads.

Don’t panic! We’ll give you the codes to manage this trend and allow you to be even more spontaneous in your looks.

1) The golden rule

If we tell you “too much information kills information”. You tell us?
If we tell you “too much pattern kills pattern”? Do you have it?

As you can see, not too many ingredients and just the right amount of ingredients make a good mix.

That’s why you should choose two or three colors maximum, and two patterns or prints, for perfect matches.

Let see:
We mix the orange ZANIA ribbed mesh top with the pink PARVEDY cotton pants, for a colorful and vitaminized look.

The navy blue GABY viscose pants and the purple MAIWEN blouse.

Or, the ochre GINA trousers, and the pink SHERINE top.

2) Play with colors, play with prints, and mix and match.

The key word:

DARE Dare to challenge the codes you have always learned. Dare to change your habits of color or pattern associations.

Why wouldn’t checks go with polka dots? Who said that stripes only go with solid colors? The rules that have always been imposed are gone, now say hello to originality.

Here is the secret so make these combinations work well together : have a common thread. If you know the purpose of your outfit, and the results you expect, then you’ll have it all.

Thus we do not hesitate to combine stripes with patterns. The association of the printed Paloma DORIA short and the red cotton top FLORA shows us perfectly.

3) Create contrast: with opposite colors or materials

For the less daring, we suggest you play on the materials and their volume.

We dare to wear a light printed skirt and add a thicker sweater with expressive material.

My name is Thaïs, I’m 25 years old and I’m from Bordeaux. I studied in a business school and I specialized in communication / digital. I have always worked in the fashion world, from luxury to premium. I am now at FRNCH for a few months.

What is your role at FRNCH?

I am a digital communication project manager. I’m in charge of the communication of the brand on social networks, through newsletters or on the e-shop. I am also in charge of partnerships and collaborations. I am the guarantor of the image conveyed about FRNCH.

How long have you been working at FRNCH?

FRNCH in three words for you, what is it?

Colorful, feminine and cosmopolitan.

How would you describe your style?

I am chic while being casual. I’m often in sneakers to stroll around Paris, but I always enhance my outfit with a nice chic coat, or dressy pants. And I never forget the touch of lipstick.

What is the piece that best represents you?

A nice jacket (or coat). I think that it finishes an outfit perfectly and it’s the first thing you notice, they are strong pieces.

What is your first fashion memory?

It is when I used to steal my mom’s things from her closet (especially her heels) and play with them. I had also done a fashion show as a child, and that’s when I realized that I loved fashion.

Why work in fashion?

I have always been fascinated by fashion,especially by the different styles that exist. I love dressing up. An outfit that I will love will make me feel good about myself and confident.
I wanted to be able to participate in making women feel confident and to be able to work from my passion

The best advice we could give you?

“Everything happens for a reason”. Every moment of your life is there for something and it’s one more step to get to your final goals. This saying allows you to ask yourself the right questions and to be positive.

The thing you can’t do without on a daily basis?

Listening to music. I live by music whether at home, at work or elsewhere. It puts me in a good mood and motivates me.

Do you have any passion(s)?

I love boxing, it has become a real hobby. It’s a fun sport where I can work out.
I am also passionate about traveling. I love to discover new countries, new cultures. It is a real wealth that I love to explore. I try to leave as soon as I have the opportunity.

Mexico: I lived there, and I fell in love with this country.
Brittany: best place to recharge (and closer to Paris!!)

Print Party !

We’ve been telling you about them for a while now, but we haven’t really explained them to you. An integral part of the FRNCH know-how, giving it its unique DNA, our prints are exclusive and homemade.
Home made because they are developed by our graphic designers in our Parisian studios.
From the inspiration to the final print, there are many stages and everything is organized in our studios. Moodboard after moodboard, our graphic designers draw inspiration and sketch designs. As the collection is created, they evolve towards their final version.
Once the design is validated, it is digitized and harmonized. The colours are edited for a perfect finish.
Each season has its own prints, from accessories to ready-to-wear.

At first glance, the Tasselli print is made up of colours here and there, arranged in dabs like scattered paint marks. But take a closer look. When you zoom in further, you can see the tiles melting away, composed of these brightly coloured touches. The pastel background softens the overall effect, bringing you delicacy and discreet colours for a sweet summer.
Vintage liberty inspirations brought up to date with modern touches, this is the successful bet of the Tasselli print.

Inspired by postcards of paradise islands, blue skies and sunsets, the Reunion Island print invites you to enjoy the sea breeze. It takes you on a journey to this heavenly island. It brings you a zen state of mind and a feeling of calmness thanks to its blue tones mixed with pastel. It will give a retro chic touch to your outfit.

Bright and harmonious colours to revive your complexion, that’s the Mésange print effect.
Inspired by colourful Art Deco mosaics, it hides floral and animal motifs. Can you make them out? The shapes reveal birds and various flowers. Look closely and be swept away into the psychedelic world of chickadees. It is the ideal ally for a vitamin-packed summer.

Femme FRNCH Meet Rachele

Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Rachele, I’m Italian, from Florence. I studied design at the University of Florence.
I arrived in Paris in 2017, as an au pair for a French family for a year. Following that, I started my adventure at FRNCH.

What is your role at FRNCH?

I am a Traffic and Print Designer. I’m in charge of all the print and pattern creation for the collections, but also the visual content for the website and social networks.

How long have you been working at FRNCH?

3 years

FRNCH in three words for you, what is it?

Parisian, Fun, and offbeat.

How would you describe your style?

I can be very sporty or very feminine. I like very much the eccentric pieces which give a separate style to my outfits.

What is the piece that best represents you?

A bomber! If it can be vintage, even better!

What is your first fashion memory?

The Pitti fashion shows in Florence. I used to go there every time, and even more so with my school to get inspired and see the new trends.

Why work in fashion?

I like the possibility to be free in the creation and to be able to express my ideas.

The best advice we could give you?

Don’t be closed-minded and open yourself to everything around you. This is the essence of curiosity for me.

The thing you can’t do without on a daily basis?

Getting around on my bike. Whether it’s for a ride or to go to work, I love it! A second passion: having aperitifs with friends.

Do you have any passion(s)?

I even have several. Design & crochet. I create pieces for myself such as crochet tops to wear in the summer.

My grandmother’s house in the country, in Italy.
